A group which maintains a popular trail in Liss is steaming ahead with plans to hold an open event.

The Liss Riverside Rangers are holding an open afternoon next Saturday (April 20) with a variety of activities planned.

Interested villagers should meet at the Station Road level crossing at 2pm with a guided walk starting 30 minutes later.

The event will include information about the future plan of works on the trail, formerly part of the Longmoor Military Railway.

Families can follow a treasure trail, with seeds being handed out to early hunters, while visitors will also get the chance to make bird boxes and bug hotels with the Liss Men’s Shed.

Visitors will also learn how they can volunteer and get more involved with the rangers, who play a big part in maintaining the Liss Riverside Railway walk between Station Road and Forest Road.
