COMBINING their musical talents in a one-off production of Gilbert and Sullivan’s The Pirates of Penzance are The MAD Company and Liphook’s Love to Sing Choir.

The two groups will perform an abridged version of this renowned comedic opera at the Millennium Hall in Liphook on Saturday, July 22, at 7.30pm, with tickets now on sale.

The show is raising funds for the church roof at Liphook’s Methodist church.

Be transported back to 19th century Cornwall in the beloved opera, join the hapless Ruth and her young charge, be enthralled by the romance of Frederick and Mable, and be right royally entertained by the Pirate King and his rollicking crew as they attempt to steal the major general’s daughters.

Tickets cost £10 to include light refreshments during the interval.

Book them by calling 01730 263152 or online through www.thelittleboxoffice.com

The MAD Company, Liphook’s popular Methodist Amateur Dramatics group, which has put on a traditional pantomime for the last 25 years, is always on the look out for help and support with its shows, and new cast members.

There are various backstage roles on offer, from helping with hair and make-up, to lighting and sound.
