The festive season of 2024 was made brighter for many in the Petersfield community thanks to a local scheme.
The Christmas Parcels initiative was an incredible success and through coordinated efforts of Agencies Working Together, with the generous support of key partners. A hundred and twenty individuals received luxury hampers, and 55 children aged 0-18 were gifted thoughtful toy parcels.
It would not have been possible without the invaluable contributions of The Salvation Army and the Food Bank, whose hard work and commitment were at the core of the project.
Funding assistance from the Petersfield Lions Club and the Town Mayor’s Charity ensured that the resources needed were readily available.
The initiative aims to support those less fortunate during a time of year that can be particularly challenging.
Luxury hampers included carefully selected items to bring comfort and joy to individuals and families, while the toy parcels ensured children could experience the magic of the season.
The success of the project reflects the spirit of unity and kindness that defines the community.
With the new year, Agencies Working Together remains committed to fostering collaborative efforts to address local needs.
