Alton Community Association wants to thank those behind its lovely Christmas tree at Alton Community Centre.

Deputy manager Marie Kellie said: “Every year Robert, one of our members of staff who works with our caretaking team every Monday helping them keep the Alton Community Centre spick and span, speaks to his boss at his Wednesday job at Avenue Nurseries in Lasham to try and arrange for a tree to be donated to the community centre in time for our Christmas Cracker Fair.

“Every year Robert comes up trumps and secures a donation of a beautiful tree. The trustees and staff at the community centre would like to express our thanks to Robert and Avenue Nurseries for their continued and much appreciated support.

“The fair raised £1,684.12 for centre funds. Thank you to the trustees, staff, stall holders, visitors, YEM Theatre School and the Kings Pond Shantymen.”
