A creative collection has put the work of budding artists at a Petersfield school in the frame.

Talented pupils at Herne Junior School have enjoyed a brush with the public thanks to a donation by the Arts Society Petersfield.

The group have funded an external display board to show off the artwork produced by pupils during the school year.

The board has been positioned outside the front of the school off Love Lane for everyone to enjoy.

It’s really showing off the art of the school community as the pieces produced by pupils would otherwise by displayed in classrooms or the hall, instead of being see by the wider world.

The project was coordinated between Joanna Boughton, Young Arts Volunteer and Catherine Castle, art leader at the school.

A similar project has taken place on Rams Walk as artwork by Buriton Primary School pupils has been displayed on a vacant shop frontage.
