A MOVE from Rake to Petersfield six months ago has steered a family-owned garage into the fast lane.

Automatt Garage owner and founder Matt Bartlett said the move from the Rake Industries business complex to bigger premises on Bedford Road in Petersfield had allowed the business to expand.

Mr Bartlett established Automatt at Rake in 2015, but the small premises – ideal to start with – and the rural location had meant the business was stagnating. He said: "Since we moved to Petersfield the business has grown and I’ve taken on a new mechanic. We are very happy here. We’ve built our reputation up from scratch thanks to our customers recommending us to their friends and family, and the move means we really are a local garage able to tailor our services directly to you and your car."
