Feedback is being sought on a project which could see purified water pumped into a new reservoir near Rowlands Castle.

Southern Water is midway through a public consultation into its Hampshire Water Transfer and Water Recycling Project.

The Havant Thicket Reservoir is a big part with the new landmark starting to take shape on land between the woodland, Leigh Park and Durrants.

The reservoir infrastructure is being currently set up by Portsmouth Water contractors on behalf of Southern Water in a bid to meet some of the region’s long-term water supplies.

But there have been concerns about the likely pumping of treated water into the reservoir, with suggestions that residents were made aware of the practice late into the consultation.

East Hampshire and south of Butser residents have until July 23 to comment through www.HampshireWTWRP.co.uk while Rowlands Castle Parish Council will consider its response during its July 15 meeting.
