A Bristol man accused of dealing cocaine in Alresford has been sent to Winchester Crown Court for trial.
Mitchell Shellard, 34, of Sydenham Way in Hanham near Bristol, was arrested on August 8, 2022, in Alresford and found to be in possession of "a quantity" of cocaine, a Class A controlled drug, with intent to supply.
Mr Shellard appeared at Basingstoke Magistrates' Court for his first hearing on January 5, 2023, but has not yet entered a plea.
The defendant was granted unconditional bail, but was sent to trial under Section 51(1) & (2)(b) of the Crime and Disorder Act 1998.
A plea and trial preparation hearing is now scheduled for February 8, 2023, at Winchester Crown Court.
