A DAY of cricket, beer and live music in East Meon has raised plenty of money for a pair of good causes in the village.
East Meon Cricket Club have been bowled over by the success of the beer and music festival which followed their sixes competition on June 30.
The tenth annual event, which was headlined by the Trevor John Band with support from the Acoustic Chord Killers, took place at the club’s ground and featured a beer tent, barbecue and burrito van.
It also raised more than £600 for East Meon Primary School and £300 for the East Meon Care Group, according to club secretary Sam Meyer.
He said: “The weather made such a big difference because everyone wanted to be outside.”
