THE FRIENDS of Liphook Junior School’s dog show and duck race was held at Radford Park on Saturday.
Despite there being no bridge in Radford Park this year, the day was a success.
Three-hundred plastic ducks were cheered on excitedly as they raced down the river in various heats.
Following the heats, the final race was won by Tegan, aged eight, from Liphook Junior School.
Alternating between the duck races was the dog show, which, was organised by Fiona Ormonde and judged by Kiri Downes of Paws in the Pink. Owners could enter their dogs in various categories, such as best sit, waggiest tail and best lookalike.
The best in show was won for the second year in a row by Danielle, aged 11, with her new dog, Rex.
There was also a barbecue, Dylan’s ice cream and a range of homemade cakes, and more than £750 was raised on the day.
