Pupils from Langrish Primary School in Stroud took part in a design competition run by housebuilder CALA Homes.

Children in Year 5 were asked to design a ‘Welcome to your new home’ card for people moving into CALA’s Elizabeth Meadows development in the village.

Winner Isabel Faithful, nine, received a £50 gift voucher and a certificate, and her card will be given to all new residents as part of their welcome gift. Runners-up Erin Callaghan and Anna Jackson, both also nine, each received a £25 gift voucher and a certificate.

Headteacher Sarah Wright and Sara Sang from CALA Homes presented the prizes. Mrs Wright said: “All of the children were really excited to take part.

“We hope the new residents enjoy their card from Isabel.”
