THE CHILDREN in early years at Brookham School in Liphook had a fabulous day celebrating Chinese New Year.

They came to school dressed in Chinese clothes or the lucky colour red and they enjoyed a storytelling session led by Fanzhi Yang where they learned about the 12 zodiac animals.

For their morning snack they tasted seaweed crackers and some children even challenged themselves to use chopsticks.

All of the children enjoyed participating in a dragon dance and making their own lanterns.

Everybody went home with a fortune cookie and a set of their own chopsticks after a thoroughly enjoyable day.
