A VISITOR services manager and a marketing assistant have been appointed to help drive forward the £4m Petersfield Museum.
Lauren Wayland has been at the museum in St Peter’s Road for three years as its learning and engagement assistant.
During that time she helped deliver the museum’s Pathways into the Past project, that saw Bronze Age burial mounds on Petersfield Heath excavated.
She also played a role in opening the new museum after the ambitious transformation of the former Petersfield police station into its new home.
In her new role as visitor services supervisor, she will be integral in helping drive the museum forward as it embarks on its exciting next steps, said museum curator Sophie Yaniw.
And Joe Shepherd has been taken on as a marketing assistant to help the spread the word about what the fantastic museum has to offer, Sophie added.
Joe moves into his role after spending the past year as the museum’s visitor experience intern.
As an intern, his focus was predominantly centred around turning the museum shop into a warm, welcoming place for visitors to start their tour of the museum.
He also ensured the day-to-day front-of-house operations of the museum ran smoothly.
