LISS Junior School worker Nikki Wright has been recognised by Hampshire County Council for her long service at the school.

Nikki started working at the school in 1992 when her son, Christopher, was in Year 3. She began by listening to children read at the old school, now the Triangle Centre. Over the years, she has been a classroom assistant and a learning support assistant, then for the past 12 years has been a learning support assistant and an emotional literacy support assistant. Mrs Wright also works with various children across the school, supporting their emotional wellbeing.

She said: “Over the years I have worked with children with a variety of needs and continue to find my job rewarding and so enjoyable.”

Mrs Wright’s long service has been recognised by the county council with the presentation of a vase and vouchers.
