LITTER louts face a £75 fine as a zero tolerance campaign run by East Hampshire District Council begins.

For the next six months enforcement officers contracted to East Hampshire District Council (EHDC) will issue fines to litter droppers and those who don't clear up behind their dogs.

The campaign was launched after a barrage of residents' complaints about litter and dogs mess to the council and to the Post.

Deputy leader councillor Richard Millard said: "Residents who drop litter, chewing gum or cigarette butts, or don't clean up after their dog, run the risk of a £75 fine....
