THE first Farnham Literary Festival, which runs from March 5-13 and coincides with Women’s History Month, will feature a talk by historical fiction writers A K Blakemore and Annie Garthwaite.

They will speak about the importance of bringing women’s voices back from the past to enlighten the future.

Festival organiser Farnham Town Council said the 20-plus confirmed events included a talk from South West Surrey MP Jeremy Hunt, readings from Farnham Theatre Association performers, a Shakespeare-themed walk, local historian and author Rosemary Wisbery and writing workshop Strictly Come Writing.
