Families heading to Birdworld this Easter are in for a dino-mite day out after the park launched its prehistoric-themed exhibition.
This weekend, the popular Rowledge-based attraction unveiled its Dinosaur Discovery Trail – a brand-new experience featuring impressive life-sized dinosaur models, all included in the regular admission fee.
Among the ancient beasts waiting to be discovered are well-known favourites such as the Stegosaurus, Triceratops, Velociraptor, and the mighty Tyrannosaurus rex.
Along the trail, visitors can learn how these long-extinct creatures are closely linked to modern birds, offering a unique opportunity to compare past and present wildlife.
Children and grown-ups can able to explore how dinosaurs might have looked and behaved over 65 million years ago, in an immersive journey through evolutionary history.
Adding to the prehistoric fun, Farnham Pottery has made a welcome return, this time crafting life-size dinosaur fossil replicas.
These impressive creations are displayed inside the Mary Anning Cabin, situated near Birdworld’s emu enclosure.
The exhibit is named after the groundbreaking 19th-century fossil hunter and palaeontologist, best known for discovering some of the first complete dinosaur and marine reptile fossils along England’s Jurassic Coast.
Guests can also spot some of the park’s very own ‘living dinosaurs’—including emus Shrub, Forest, and Matilda. Their deep, resonant calls may echo the sounds once made by their fearsome ancestors, such as the Tyrannosaurus rex.
