SHEET Film Club is expanding its art festival to offer entertainment for all the family next weekend.
All are welcome to the film and arts festival, based at the Queen’s Head and Sheet Village Hall, from 6pm on Friday, May 25, when the event starts with an optional barbecue, live music from band Black Cherry Jam, and followed by an open-air screening of the heart-warming classic film Cine Paradiso.
On Saturday, the festival starts at 3pm with songs from Sheet Primary School, then music from Mantic Muddlers Band and The Reprobeats with Phil Washington.
Later the audience are encouraged to sing along for an open-air showing of the popular family film The Sound of Music. Food and drink will be available all day.
Organisers are also inviting people to join in the festival by entering the competitions for a three-minute film, using a phone, and/or a photograph (A4 size) to be submitted by May 18. Films and photos should be loosely based on the theme “Advertise Yourself”.
Films and photos will be on show in the village hall, and a small presentation will be made during Saturday evening. Further details of the festival are at: www.facebook.com/sheetfilmclub
