AN AMERICAN theme proved a dream for summer fair organisers at Steep Primary School.

Cheerleaders, cowboys, novelty turkeys, and stars and stripes made a State-side success of the event, put on by Friends of Steep School (FOSS), on Independence Day, July 4.

The hundreds of visitors certainly 'had a nice day' as they took in the jazz music, finger-lickin' food and traditional attractions on offer in the Saturday sunshine....
