HOLLYCOMBE Steam in the Country was visited by up to 50 fairground organs and modellers for its fairground and vintage organ weekend.
Lots of picnickers enjoyed Hollycombe’s woodland gardens while the sounds of fairground organs filled the air.
One of these organs belonged to Terry Pankhurst – an 80 pipe midi-controlled topsy organ. Terry has been going to Hollycombe for a number of years, enjoying the opportunity “to meet up with like-minded friends and a knowledgeable crowd”.
Anji Smith assisted Hollycombe volunteers in checking in exhibitors and making them feel welcome.
John Taylor from Hailsham brought his model Arc Ride with swing boats and transport to display.
John said: “I’m a big fan of Hollycombe and the weekend was as good as it gets. We had a good number of visitors and there was great camaraderie amongst the exhibitors.”
