A Clanfield resident and his pooch are ready to take on the world’s largest dog show next week.

Hounds for Heroes founder Allen Parton and his companion ET (Endal the third), will be attending Crufts from the 6th to 9th of March.

The duo are attending to help raise awareness and support for the charity, and will be Allen’s 34th attendance at the show and young ET’s fourth.

Hounds for Heroes is based in Ramsdean near Petersfield, providing specially trained assistance dogs to serving and former members of the Armed Forces and the Emergency Services who have become physically disabled through injury or illness.

“Crufts is a great opportunity for me to thank, in person, the many dog clubs and organisations that have supported the charity throughout the year,” Allen said.

“ET just senses the magnitude and importance of the event and steps up to the plate, representing all that is special and amazing about assistance dogs. A top dog at a top show!”
