THE WEATHER was warm as was the welcome for the 350 visitors who enjoyed the delights of the sixth Buriton Art Trail at the weekend.
Six venues showed work from more than 20 artists, with a diverse collection ranging from prints, pottery and photography to wood-carving, glass work and painting. A highlight was seeing sculptor Andy Cheese, who created the sculpture in Rams Walk shopping mall in Petersfield, working on his latest piece.
There was also an artist painting by the village pond, and the chance to have a go at clay work and see the process of lino cutting in action. Pupils from Buriton Primary School showed artwork on the theme of ‘My Favourite Place’.
Live music, from Petersfield Ukulele Band and Sentimental Journey, was appreciated in the village hall, where home-made cakes were sold for charity.
