THE NEW manager at Liss Triangle Centre is settling into her role.

Karen Feeney is the centre’s new manager and she has replaced Sally Tanner, who stepped down earlier this month after six years in the role.

Karen said: “I started a couple of weeks ago and it has been fabulous.

“The Triangle Centre has a team of supportive trustees who have made me feel very welcome.

“The job is absolutely wonderful and is everything I thought it would be and more.

“The community spirit in Liss is amazing and there are so many volunteers here.

“The Triangle Centre is a very busy place and there is so much going on.

“We have a wonderful community hub here with the cafe, which does wonderful cakes.”

Karen has had a busy start to her new job, with the Liss Film Festival starting tomorrow (Thursday) at the centre.

“With the Liss Film Festival coming up it has been a running start,” said Karen.

“There is such a great team of people here who organise events.

“The film festival is a good place to start, and we’re all going to be getting dressed up for the opening night of the film festival.

“It is a really lovely event to have here and it is very exciting.”

Karen has been manager of the Liphook Millennium Centre in the past, a position which has stood her in good stead for her new job.

“The Millennium Centre gave me a good grounding,” said Karen.

“It is similar here at the Triangle Centre but also different at the same time.”
