Time is running out for people in Liss to have their say on a plan to breathe new life into the village centre.

Parish councillors have been thrilled with the interest shown in the Liss village centre engagement exercise which opened in April.

Dozens of residents gave feedback on the scheme – which aims to create a village centre “where everyone feels safe” and people are “welcome to visit and travel through” – during a recent pop-up event at the village hall.

Residents who have yet to comment on the placemaking proposals to revamp the Lower Mead, Station Approach, Memorial Green and Hill Brow Road areas have until this Sunday, June 2, to make comments online.

The plans an include a 20mph ‘central plaza’ zone with a ‘squareabout’, less parking, wider pavements and a narrower Station Road.
