A dad has been left with a brain injury from which he may never recover and several broken bones after a “huge” motorcycle accident.

Pawel Koslicki, 45, sustained critical injuries during the crash on the M25 on November 17.

The accident, involving a red Yamaha motorcycle and a blue Mercedes S350 AMG, led to Pawel being airlifted to the hospital where he remains in serious condition.

Emergency services closed a stretch of the motorway for more than six hours, and Thames Valley Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage.

The dad and avid motorcyclist has been left with a brain injury, multiple broken bones, and internal damage to his kidney, liver, and lung.

He currently cannot move his right arm, eat or drink unaided, and struggles with memory issues.

His best friend of ten years, Lukasz Dabrowski, 41, who lives in Havant, said Pawel’s condition is improving, but that he may never fully recover.

Lukasz, originally from Poland, said: “When his wife texted me to say he had been in the crash I was so shocked. It was very serious as the chances of him surviving were slim.

“The crash was huge, Pawel lost lots of blood and arrived at hospital in critical condition. For the first few days he was fighting for his life in a coma.”

“I have been to visit him several times. It is getting easier now, it was very hard at first to see him like that. But now he is getting better.

“We hope he can go home soon, but he still has a brain injury and his right hand is not working. He is a lovely person who is always helpful and very nice. He is loved by everyone.”

Lukasz, who is a motorcycle photographer, said that Pawel is still in hospital but was moved from St George’s Hospital in London to the Queen Alexandra Hospital in Portsmouth last week.

The family are still waiting to hear what happened during the accident as police continue to investigate the crash.

Lukasz said Pawel’s family have been struggling since the accident, particularly his 12-year-old daughter and 16-year-old son.

The longtime pal has now started a GoFundMe page to help support his friend’s family during this tough time. So far, the page has raised £11,600 of a £20,000 goal.

Lukasz added: “It is a bit surprising how much it has made, but I know the bikers always help each other.

The money is to help the family in the beginning and to help Pawel in his rehabilitation. It is a really hard time for them, especially for his daughter as they were really close.”

A Thames Valley Police spokesperson said: "The victim is currently still in hospital in a serious but stable condition.

"The investigation is currently still ongoing and no arrests have been made. Any updates will be published on our channels."
