A motorist was punched in the face following a road rage incident near a Horndean supermarket.

East Hampshire police are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage following the skirmish on Dell Piece West last Thursday afternoon (July 25).

The victim – a man in his 30s who was driving a grey Mercedes CLA 250 AGM – suffered a minor injury after being punched by the driver of a blue Mercedes Sprinter van.

The incident took place between 3pm and 4pm near the Morrisons roundabout, witnesses or anyone with information should call 101 quoting crime reference number 44240316667.

Meanwhile, Butser police have launched a separate witness appeal after a couple stole building materials from a Buriton property on Saturday, July 20.

Police believe the pair, who were seen entering a rear garden on the High Street around 2.20pm, drove a white VW van. Witnesses should call 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
