AS PART of Haslemere Museum’s 130th anniversary celebrations, it is hosting a series of talks by distinguished museum patrons.
These begin on Friday, July 27, when visitors can join professional artist Roger Dellar for an insightful talk about his work.
Award-winning Roger is a successful artist and works from his studio in Surrey. He has a keen interest in people and their behaviour, and is fascinated by the way the play of light transforms a subject, either working in the studio or plein air.
His favourite subjects are portraits, people in their environments and capturing the effects of light and atmosphere. He is a member of the Royal Institute of Oil Painters (ROI), Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolour (RI) and The Pastel Society (PS).
He is also a member of the highly prestigious Wapping Group and his works are exhibited at galleries throughout the UK.
While painting a scene from a museum garden party, he will guide his audience through his thought process as an artist.
Tickets at £10 for museum members and £12 for non-members and they can be booked on 01428 642112 or e-mail: [email protected]
