A NEW art exhibition is on show at the Petersfield Museum, in the former Petersfield police station.

‘Hold’ is set in the Victorian cells and former magistrates court behind the police station, now also part of the museum in St Peter’s Road. The group 6plus2 Art Collective has used photography, drawing, painting, print, 3D installation, moving image and even quilt made tea bags to focus on the themes of containment, the marking of time, loss, forensics and identity. Hilary Boardley of the collective said: “The exhibition was inspired by the atmosphere of the Victorian police station.” It runs until Saturday and is open each day from 10am to 4pm.
