A new chairman has taken over at the organisation behind Petersfield Food Bank.

The food bank is supported by the 11 churches in Petersfield Area Churches Together (PACT).

On Sunday at a service in the Methodist Church in Station Road, PACT chairman for 2022 Ivan Hutington Thresher passed on the PACT Bible to incoming chairman John Callaghan (on the left in our photo).

The Bible has been handed on to each incoming chairman since the 1960s.

The food bank was launched in 2019 when it issued 310 food packs to 497 adults and 210 children.

Last year is handed out 1,277 packs, helping 1,939 adults and 1,016 children.

The food bank relies entirely on donations and for more information visit the website at https://pactfoodbank.org.uk/or email info@
