PETERSFIELD Community Hospital in Swan Street can now offer emergency treatment for a range of issues at its Urgent Treatment Centre (UTC).

It is run by Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust and is GP-led, staffed by a multi-disciplinary team of health professionals.

Staff can treat include strains and sprains, skins infections and rashes, ear and throat infections, suspected broken limbs, eye problems, emergency contraception, minor injuries, minor burns and many other conditions.

X-ray facilities are also available Monday to Friday.

The UTC is open 8am-8pm 365 days a year, though patients are encouraged to routinely access the service via NHS 111 - online or phone - and will receive pre-booked same-day appointments if appropriate.

Walk-in patients without appointments will be clinically assessed by a triage nurse or other health professional.

With A&E departments facing unprecedented demand, the Petersfield Community Hospital UTC can help you get the treatment you need, whilst avoiding long waits and helping to relieve some of the pressure placed upon the emergency services at QA Hospital.
