Petersfield railway crossing in Station Road is to be closed for about nine days later this month.

It is expected the closure by Network Rail will begin on, or after, Saturday, January 21.

It is so CCTV cameras on the bridge can be upgraded.

During the work Station Road will be closed between the junctions with Charles Street and Penns Road.

Pedestrian and vehicle access to properties inside the 70m stretch of closed road will be facilitated, but the road will remain closed to all other traffic.

Diversions will be in place throughout the closure that will take motorists around, and through, the town.
