PETERSFIELD steam enthusiast Wayne Tallon has been reunited with an engine he worked on 35-years ago.

From 1975 he helped restore engines at the Watercress Line, and in 1981 he worked on the West Country County Class locomotive 34105.

And on a recent visit to the Swanage Railway, he took a ride on the train pulled by the same locomotive, now at Swanage. Wayne, who has also ridden on the footplate of the famous Flying Scotsman, said: “It was a great day, and really nice to see the engine again after all these years.”
