THE SOUTH Downs National Park Authority has received planning permission for a change of use of part of the existing house at Empshott Grange, Church Lane, Empshott, to office accommodation for a temporary three-year period.

Part of the house will be used as a satellite office for the South Downs National Park Authority Western Team for a temporary three-year period.

Countryside and policy manager at the South Downs National Park Authority Nigel James said: “With the introduction of two new assistant ranger posts to our Western Downs team we’ve outgrown our office at Queen Elizabeth Country Park.

“We plan to use part of the house at Empshott Grange for a temporary period while we look for a longer-term solution.

“Our volunteers will continue to meet at Queen Elizabeth Country Park.”

Empshott Grange is not visible from public land so the above picture shows one of the entrances, but the building pictured is not Empshott Grange.
