THE Liberal Democrat group on East Hampshire District Council has been increased from seven to eight after Independent councillor Neville Taylor crossed the floor to join the group.
The Lindford councillor said: “I have found working with the Lib Dems to be far more effective than acting alone and the Lib Dem Group have provided effective and constructive opposition to the Conservative administration at the council.
“I look forward to playing a role as part of a larger team and having a stronger voice in holding EHDC to account.”
Lib Dem Group leader Steve Hunt said: “We warmly welcome Neville – he is a hard-working local councillor and our stronger team will continue to shine a light for an open government and transparent local government.”
