THIS year’s Rogate Pumpkin Patch event was a big success, say organisers.

The gates of the pumpkin patch were open throughout half term, and there was plenty for children to enjoy.

The pumpkin patch is organised by the Davey family.

Sophie Davey said: “It was amazing, and we were blessed with the weather.

“It’s the simple things in life, and it’s so much better to pick a pumpkin than get it from the supermarket.

“We had sling a potato, face painting and a slime factory for the children, and they loved it, and we also had the pumpkin princess.

“We are at an absolutely beautiful site. People came from far and wide, and some stayed for many hours.

“It’s a real community event, and the people of Rogate came out to support it. It is a unique event.

“No big corporate companies benefit from the event, it is organised by the Davey family.”
