Petersfield Museum’s extensive photo archive holds more than 100,000 photos of life in the town and surrounding villages.

Dating as far back as the Victorian period, these photos represent all areas of life and act as a window into Petersfield in days gone by.

It is always great when we have readers respond to our call for information about the photographs in our collection.

Not only do we get to find out interesting stories about the town and its residents, we also get to add that information into our records for future research.

Thanks to a number of calls about last week’s photo we can identify the gentleman as Christopher Seward, who lived at Penns Farm.

We are still looking for the names of the children.
