THE YEARBOOKS that were waiting for collection by the main entrance tell a story of friendship, achievement and aspiration.
But the class of 2016 at Horndean Technology College (HTC) class of will be remembered as a vintage one with the school celebrating some of its best results to date.
An impressive 71 per cent of GCSE students collected the “Gold Standard” of five or more A* to C grades including English and Maths.
That compares to 64 per cent in 2015 while the percentage of students getting an A* to C in Maths has also risen from 76 to 81 over the last 12 months.
A highly respectable 79 per cent of students also picked up five or more A* to C grades, delighting HTC Principal, Julie Summerfield.
She said: “We extremely proud of these outstanding results as they demonstrate the excellence that both students and staff have achieved together.
“Students from HTC will have very promising futures as a result of their achievements.”
