Drivers in and around East Hampshire will have eight National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And one of them is expected to cause moderate delays – with motorists facing a holdup of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that three closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

A3, from 8pm September 8 to 6am September 9, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A3 northbound, Liphook, Lane closures for maintenance work.

A3, from 8pm June 28 to 6am October 3, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A3 northbound, Hazel Grove to Thursley, carriageway and lane closures for communications work.

A3, from 9pm June 7 to 6am October 5, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A3 both directions Hindhead Tunnel, Contraflow for electrical work.

And a further five closures will begin over the next two weeks:

A3, from 8pm September 9 to 6am September 10, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A3 both directions Sheet, slip road and lane closures for maintenance work.

A3(M), from 8pm September 12 to 6am September 13, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A3M southbound, junction 1 to junction 2, Lane closures for maintenance work,.

A3, from 8pm September 17 to 6am September 21, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A3 northbound, Liphook, Lane closures for inspection work.

A3, from 9pm September 17 to 6am September 18, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A3M southbound, junction 1, slip road and lane closures for drainage work.

A3, from 8pm September 23 to 6am September 25, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A3 both directions Liphook to Griggs Green, Lane closures for maintenance work.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
