THE Rowlands Castle Association is inviting community groups and organisations in and around the village to apply for grants.

The association raises money each year for local causes through events it organises such as the annual fireworks display and bonfire last year on November 6 (pictured above by Martina Johansson).

The display on the recreation ground was enjoyed by hundreds of village residents and friends.

Rowlands Castle Association chairperson Helen Penfold said: “After the successful and much-enjoyed fireworks display in November, the association has replenished its funds.

“This means we are now able to offer funding to deserving causes in the village and close by.

“We ask people to email me, or to speak to one of the committee, if their organisation would like to apply for funding, ideally for a specific project.

“We will consider all the applications over the next few months.

“In the meantime, the committee of the Rowlands Castle Association wish everyone a very happy, healthy and peaceful new year.”
