Dredging should be done at Kings Pond, says the founder of the campaign to save it.
And Andrew Kuttner believes it can be carried out without spending £25,000 on two feasibility studies.
He said: “We know the pond can be dredged – let’s use the term ‘silt removal’ instead.
“It has been done before, hence it’s not ‘feasible’, it is definitely doable.
“Proposals for how best to remove and dispose of silt should be included in the tenders from companies that actually carry out this work.
“For an estimated £200,000 contract they should be more than willing to provide this information and advice.”
