THE trial of a teenager accused of attempted murder at a school in Hampshire is set to continue for a week.

Due to legal reasons the 15-year-old girl accused of attempted murder cannot be identified, nor the school she attends.

Yesterday (Tuesday, October 4) a jury at Winchester Crown Court heard James Newton-Price for the prosecution set out his case.

The court heard that in April the girl, then aged 14, injured her best friend aged 15 in a secluded part of the school with a kitchen knife from home.

The girl was arrested and charged with attempted murder and wounding with intent and has since been in custody.

The court heard she denies both charges.
