TWO men have been charged with attempted murder following an incident in Petersfield in the early hours of Wednesday, May 20.

Shaun Hanson, 49, of Fern Close, Petersfield, and Anthony Seymour, 22, of Rival Moor Road, Petersfield were charged after the incident on Durford Road, close by the two mens homes.

The victim, a man in his 30s, also from Petersfield, sustained a number of wounds during the incident, which occurred at a property in Durford Road, but he remains in a stable condition in hospital.A police spokesman said: "We can confirm that the victim sustained a number of stab wounds."

After carrying out house to house enquiries in the area on Wednesday, May 21, police have launched an appeal for witnesses.
