PETERSFIELD'S popular skatepark is set to expand and provide the first facilities in the country for wheelchair users.
Planning permission for phase two of the facility at Love Lane has been given the go ahead and the Festival For Young People (FYP), the group behind the plans, will now begin fundraising the £150,000 needed to complete the construction work.
Phase two of the skatepark will see the facility double in size and one key feature will be a recreation area which people in wheelchairs can use.
It will also be able to be used by young children learning to ride scooters.
FYP?spokesman Nigel Wells said: "This will be the first skatepark in the UK?designed specifically for wheelchair use....
