CHRISTMAS trees will be taking over West Meon as the annual event returns this weekend.
The West Meon Christmas Tree Festival and market will take place on?Saturday and Sunday at St John’s Church from 11am until 4pm with a carol service at 4.15pm.
More than 24 trees will be decorated by schoolchildren and representatives of clubs and businesses. The decorations will reflect the interests of each group.
The schools and Cubs are creating their own works of art. Meanwhile, the Garden Club and Allotment Association will be creating its own trees.
Refreshments will be on sale as well as Christmas gifts and goodies, including jams, cards and pictures.
Raffle prizes include a fresh, free range turkey and other items for a traditional?Christmas dinner.
