Car boot sales look set to return to Petersfield this summer despite being a loss-making event.

Town councillors heard the series of 2023 events at The Avenue raised £920 while £2,148 out of a £2,500 budget was spent.

There was some debate on whether the event was profitable to the council but the sales will return because of their popularity.

They are also part of a climate action plan with the ethos being on “reduce, reuse and recycle” instead of profits.
