Farnham Runners achieved some impressive results at the Gosport half marathon.

After the gales of the past two years, runners enjoyed much better conditions this year.

Expertly organised by Gosport Road Runners, 13 Farnham Runners were among the 1,377 finishers.

Some gained personal-best times, while others tackled the challenging distance for the first time.

Stuart Taylor completed his ambition of running a sub three-hour marathon.

His previous attempts this year were in Manchester (3:03) and Abingdon (3:05) – which was partly thwarted by less than ideal weather conditions.

He finally reached his target in the Goodwood Running Grand Prix, which featured 11 laps of the race course. His time was 2:59.38.

Eight Farnham Runners ladies enjoyed joining one of the Classic Christmas Lights 10km events in London.
