ELSTED Cricket Club have put their square to bed for the winter.

A club working party worked very hard, spiking, scarifying, repairing, fertilising, and spreading two tons of Ongar Loam on the square in preparation for what everybody hopes will be an enjoyable and successful 2017 season.

All of these materials cost a lot of money and the end of season race evening contributed significantly thanks to the people who attended and the following sponsors: Goodale and Mardle Accountants, Four Star Catering, Elsted Inn, Wye Oak Quarter Horses, ZOK International, Jason Mayhew Gundogs, Warrender Jewellers, Playsafe Playgrounds and The Three Horseshoes.

Cricket in villages is a central part of the community and all involved with Elsted will be working hard to maintain a successful club.
