GRAYSHOTT Cricket Club’s project to refurbish the pavilion at its Broxhead Common ground is now complete.

Work included a new patio, replacement of indoor and external lighting, installation of a Renewable Energy Source for heating and hot water, loft insulation to current day standards, a new dry storage area and replacement of flooring and furniture.

The cricket club has also taken the opportunity to improve the security of the building.

The outline work started in November 2015 with a number of grant applications to seek funding. Physical work on the project started at the end of the 2016 season and was completed last month.

The club is indebted to youth manager Graham Sampson, who led the process for gaining funding together with managing the project on behalf of the club.

To celebrate the completion of the project Grayshott Cricket Club is holding an open morning on Saturday, February 11.

The Broxhead Common pavilion and ground will be open to anyone who wishes to see the work the club have done, and refreshments will be available from 10am to noon.
