Aldershot Town drew 3-3 at home to Ebbsfleet United in the National League.

The Shots took the lead in the 14th minute when a short corner was played to Ryan Jones, who slalomed into the box and drove a low strike across Ebbsfleet keeper Mark Cousins to find the back of the net.

Ebbsfleet equalised two minutes later when Franklin Domi received the ball in a central area 25 yards out, worked a yard of space through quick feet and was able to get a sweet, left-footed strike away that sailed in Shots keeper Marcus Dewhurst's net.

Josh Barrett produced his own piece of magic not three minutes later to put the hosts back in front.

With the ball bouncing up on the left-hand side of the edge of the penalty area, the Irishman struck an inch-perfect effort with the outside of his laces that swerved all the way into the top-right corner to put the Shots 2-1 up.

The visitors got back on level terms on 27 minutes when a foul on Aaron Cosgrave allowed set-piece specialist George Moncur to line-up a free kick in an extremely promising position.

The former Luton Town midfielder curled a delightful effort just inside the right-hand post to make it 2-2.

Ebbsfleet weren't finished there, as Ben Chapman and Cosgrave linked up well on the breakaway on the half hour.

Cosgrave was sent though on goal and he poked a side-footed volley underneath a jumping Dewhurst to put the side from Kent in the lead for the first time in the afternoon.

The Shots got back on level terms in the second half when Jones' searching ball was clearly punched by Elijah Anthony and referee William Davis pointed to the spot for an Aldershot penalty.

Tyler Frost struck his 67th-minute penalty low and true to Cousins' right to earn the Shots a point.
