Aldershot Town picked up a comprehensive 4-1 victory at home to Oldham Athletic in the National League.

Goals from James Henry (2), Tyler Frost and Theo Widdrington gave the Shots all three points at the EBB Stadium.

The first chance of the first half came from the Shots just four minutes in. A ball from Hady Ghandour found Henry but his shot was blocked.

The Shots took the lead in the 38th minute when Henry slotted the ball into the bottom right-hand corner of the net.

A couple of minutes into the second half the Shots had another shot on goal. Widdrington played the ball back to Henry who passed it through to Kai Corbett in the box, but his shot went high over the crossbar.

Good link up between Ghandour and Henry led to the Shots doubling their lead in the 58th minute. After regaining possession through Frost, the ball was passed to Ghandour. He crossed the ball across the right-hand side to Henry, who struck the ball into the back of the net.

On the hour mark, Oldham made it 2-1. A cross from Regan Ogle was deflected off the body of Frost and found the back of the net.

Eight minutes later, the Shots scored their third. The ball was played from Henry to Ashley Akpan down the right wing, and his cross found Frost who fired home from close range.

The Shots were awarded a penalty moments before the final whistle when Ghandour's shot was blocked by an Oldham hand. Widdrington was the man to step up to the spot, and his powerful penalty made it 4-1.
